Lengths and sizing

• Supplied in standard set lengths - 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm, 2000mm

System and component guidance

Each LED rail connects to a door sensor using the cable lead from the integrated LED strip. Sensor options are available for single door wardrobes, double door wardrobes, and walk in wardrobes using room motion detection where required.

The sensors operate using an infra red beam. When the beam is interrupted - for example when a wardrobe door is opened - the LED rail illumination is automatically triggered.

Sensors are supplied with multi port connection blocks, allowing several rails to be connected to a single sensor. For example, in a double door wardrobe with more than one illuminated rail, all rails can be connected to one double door sensor. If either door is opened, all connected LED rails will switch on together.

Sensors then connect to an LED driver. The driver size required depends on the total combined length of LED rails being powered.

Drivers are available in 8W, 15W, 30W, and 50W ratings. As a simple guide, calculate the total metres of connected LED rail and multiply by 9.6 to determine the minimum driver wattage required.

Example - a double door wardrobe with four 1 metre rails equals 4 metres total.
4 x 9.6 = 38.4W, so a 50W driver would be required.

The driver must then be wired to the mains supply or fitted with a plug top and plugged in. Plug tops are not supplied.

We are happy to advise the correct sensor and driver configuration for your specific layout. Cable extensions are also available in 2000mm lengths where longer routing is needed.

Example configuration - typical single door wardrobe

For a standard single door wardrobe with two illuminated round rails positioned one above the other:

• 2 x 500mm 25mm round LED rails with integrated lighting in Sunrise Brass
• 1 x single door infra red sensor
• 1 x 15W LED driver
• 2 x concealed fix round end sockets in Sunrise Brass
  

Driver calculation example:
0.5m + 0.5m = 1 metre total LED rail length
1 x 9.6 = 9.6W required
A 15W driver would therefore be suitable.

No centre brackets are typically required for shorter lengths. As a general guide, additional support is recommended for rail lengths over 1000mm. However, this depends on the intended hanging weight and the strength of the surface the sockets are fixed to.
